Free Movement by Rail in Covid Times

China’s sticking to Zero Covid for now, but the loosening of previously rigid travel rules — both inbound and domestic — could mean more passengers for the railways.

上车了!

That’s Chinese for “all onboard, please!”. All onboard a redeveloping Tracking China website!

Reopening throughout November 2022

We will be reopening this website, soon to move to a new server, throughout November 2022.

Partial updates until then

Until then, there will be some partial updates, which we invite you to keep an eye on.

This train will be formed of four parts…

Tracking China will, upon its relaunch, be mostly a China-centric railway information website. Content mainly aimed at passengers (eg ticketing) will move over to the China pages on TravelClub 350, another Trains Plus website. Station information will move to Step by Step Trains, also another Trains Plus website (opening soon). Finally, inspiration for travel by rail in China, as well as content about travel in China during the Covid-19 pandemic, will be on Unlock 350 (opening soon).
